On behalf of The Planning and Conservation Development Committee of Thomaston, Emely Ricci, presented certificates and unveiled the final blueprint for the Town of Thomaston—a plan designed to guide decision-making, conservation efforts, and zoning regulations over the next ten years. Thomaston High School students and staff were invited to participate, offering their perspectives and contributing to an important example of civic engagement at both the local and state levels. The POCD plan is viewable to students in the Learning Commons and in the Thomaston Public Library. Special thanks to Mrs. Franzi, Mrs. Turner, and Ms. Fainer for their leadership and guidance which encouraged student voice through civic action. Also, special thanks to Sam Dorlini, our student representative on the POCD Committee for her efforts as well!
