Special Education

 Tammy completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Central Connecticut State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education in 1995 and her Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership in 2000. Tammy began her teaching career at Walter G. Cady School, Long Lane, teaching adjudicated youths. In 1996 she joined the special education staff at Thomaston High School as a resource room teacher. As a resource room teacher, Tammy provides individualized support to students in her classroom\. She also co-teaches classes to support students in the mainstream. Tammy is currently the Special Education Coordinator at the high school and district PPT Facilitator.


Tammy lives in Bristol with her husband (Mike), her daughters (Mackenzie & Madison) who both attend UCONN in Storrs, and her Bernese Mountain dog (Moose). For fun Tammy likes to travel, bake, read, and of course shop.
