Mr. Thomas Andronowitz

Library Media Specialist

 Tom began his teaching career in Shelton in 2000 and has taught various grade levels throughout his career. Tom has been employed in Thomaston since 2012 and joined the staff at THS in August 2017.

Tom’s education began at The University of Connecticut, where he earned a B.A. in communications. After graduating in 1994, he worked at ESPN and ABC Television networks. He began substitute teaching on his days off and was hooked. Tom went back to school and earned his M.A. in Elementary Education at Sacred Heart University and later earned a 6th year in Administration and Supervision from Southern Connecticut State University in 2007. Most recently Tom earned an additional certification to be a Library Media Specialist through the eARCLMS program at ACES in Hamden.

Tom currently lives in Plantsville (Southington) with his wife and two children. Outside of THS, Tom enjoys hunting, golfing, is a weekend warrior with various household construction projects, and likes to vacation in most any beach location.
